How it all began...

Monica and Jodyanne met performing with Improvisers Anonymous and bonded over a shared love for narrative storytelling, an enthusiasm for audience engagement and a dynamic flair for creating realities parallel to what is known.

A double act that entertains and astounds by twisting traditional improv games to their own deviant storytelling style, Monica and Jodyanne invite you to sit back and watch as they take your casual passing thoughts and mutate them into surreal situations, unexpected undertakings and life changing lessons.

Through the abolition of the fourth wall, with consistent engagement of the audience, Mo and Jo seamlessly weave classic improv games to transport the audience through surreal worlds on their high-octane romp all the while focusing on  linear storytelling in the narrative tradition.

The show

Our show sits just as comfortably in a 10 minute slot as it does in full hour show - we contract or expand to fit the time allocated.  That's a perk of improv!    We're also able to address themes, motifs or tweak something special to fit the zeitgeist and on occasion even behave ourselves for family friendly.

We play improv theatres, comedy gigs, variety nights, festivals, parties, poolside and any bespoke gig with a private jet.   We always help market every show we're part of and are all across social media.

tech spec

For our regular show we have minimal tech requirements: a performance space and general wash for lights.  We like to see our audience for interaction and only require amplification in large venues.

We have props for the Impro Bingo most of which we operate on stage ourselves. House lights up for when the audience  are crossing off their cards and down for the plain narrative but in the absence of such we're happy to just work with the house lights.
